Despite the fact that Lana has yet to wrestle an actual match in WWE, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer is reporting that 'The Ravishing Russian's' program with Brie Bella is set to culminate in a singles bout. It is unknown if the blowoff match with take place at WrestleMania, or if it's scheduled for another show. Lana debuted on WWE TV in 2014 as the manager of Rusev, who quickly racked up an impressive undefeated streak and won the U.S. Championship. After Rusev lost to John Cena, he dumped Lana, who turned face and began accompanying Dolph Ziggler to the ring. Rusev started an on-screen relationship with Summer Rae, leading to a mixed feud and rumors that Lana was training for in-ring competition. When she suffered a wrist injury, the program was dropped. Lana's career took a turn for the worse when she revealed her real-life engagement to Rusev online. The news ran contrary to WWE's storylines, and the company was furious over the breach of etiquette. Since that time, she's only been used sparingly, and further defiant online comments from "The Ravishing Russian" have made management even angrier. Last week, she finally returned for good, starting a feud with Brie Bella. According to Meltzer, Lana is "not ready for a singles match" and may have some fresh heat for an unknown transgression.
