WWE has confirmed that injury Becky Lynch will be gone from the company for "several months."

The popular star was hurt while wrestling Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair at SummerSlam 2022 (30 July). It was clear from the way Lynch was favouring her right shoulder during the bout that something had gone awry, though she was able to finish regardless, taking the defeat.

Becky turned face afterwards, shaking hands with Belair ahead of a confrontation with returnees Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky. Two nights later, Lynch reverted to her most successful character, 'The Man', confirming that a separated shoulder would shelve her for an indefinite period.

WWE.com has now stated that Lynch will be out for months, using a backstage beatdown by Bayley, Kai, and Sky as the kayfabe explanation:-

After suffering a separated shoulder in her Raw Women’s Title Match against Bianca Belair at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch’s injury was further exacerbated after an attack from Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY on Raw.As a result, Lynch is expected to be out for several months.

And while it's unlikely that there was any doubt, PWInsider's Mike Johnson has clarified that the injury is legitimate.
