After spending over 15 years in WWE, it looks like Lillian Garcia is ready to call it a career.

Unfortunately, she has decided to leave the company due to the failing health of her father. She has taken time off in recent months to be with her dad, but now needs to spend more time with him, and no longer wants to be on the road.

She explained her reasoning in detail on her Instagram page:

"As most of you know, my father has been battling with two different types of cancer. He hasn’t been doing as well as we hoped, THEREFORE, I will not be traveling weekly with WWE any longer. I will be looking to take on work closer to where I live so that I don't have to be on the road weekly away from him. "

Garcia has left the company two other times, so this may not be the last we see of her in WWE. She originally took over as ring announcer for Howard Finkel in 1999, which were big shoes to fill. But she has had a successful, and lengthy career with the company and in 2009 became their only "Decade Diva" in history. If she never does return, you can imagine a Hall of Fame induction is somewhere in her future.

Here's to her finding happiness outside of wrestling, and for her father's health to improve.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
