Marty Scurll, as of November 30 at the latest, is the hottest free agent in the industry.

Reports have varied as to his next destination. Dave Meltzer believes he's more likely to end up in All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling than NXT, though Twitter insider Rovert has advised, unless proven otherwise, to presume that he's set to stay with Ring Of Honor on a short-term basis.

The AEW rumour is plausible, since Scurll was a member of the Elite faction and remains in the credits of Being The Elite; on a recent episode, Hangman Page turned a photograph of the stable around, to symbolise his exit from it. Perhaps tellingly, Scurll was seen in it. Moreover, Chris Jericho may have teased Scurll's arrival on the most recent edition of Dynamite: he last uttered the name "Marty", before being cut off, on the 'Lexicon of Le Champion'.

Scurll has intensified that rumour with two intriguing posts on his Instagram account yesterday.

In the first picture, he is seen standing with AEW's Darby Allin; in the second, he is with Luke Harper, who was released by WWE yesterday. The pictures are captioned 'Villain Club?' and 'Villain Enterprises?!' respectively. In a perhaps related point, Dave Meltzer confirmed recently that Scurll has successfully trademarked the latter IP.
