Matt Hardy Teases His WWE Future
What could be next for the long-absent WWE star?
Having been rarely used for the past several months, WWE’s Matt Hardy has taken to Twitter with a teaser on his future.
According Matt, he’s currently gearing up for “what’s next”.
What, indeed, is next for Matt Hardy, remains to be seen – although here’s hoping that this tease is leading to a return to WWE TV at some point in the near future. Then again, "next" may mean something else away from WWE entirely.
Over the course of a professional career that began way back in 1992 – making Hardy a 27-year veteran – the North Carolina native has taken on a wide variety of different roles and has never been afraid to change things up and reinvent himself.
While Matt obviously achieved his first major success as one half of the iconic Hardy Boyz alongside brother Jeff, the elder Hardy brother has given wrestling audiences the likes of Matt Hardy: Version 1.0, Big Money Matt, Broken Matt Hardy, and Woken Matt Hardy. That’s without even touching upon the numerous gimmicks Hardy took on for his OMEGA promotion.
In terms of in-ring action, the last time WWE fans saw Matt Hardy compete was during this past June’s WWE Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia. Despite not being mentioned during the recent WWE Draft, Matt is technically still a member of the SmackDown roster.
