Mick Foley’s 13 Most Hardcore Moments

1. Hell In A Cell

But for number one, it€™s nigh on impossible to look any further than the night of 28 June 1998. In just the third ever Hell in a Cell bout, Foley faced the Undertaker and took two astonishing bumps that will be forever remembered as some of the biggest in all of pro wrestling history. First, Foley was thrown from the top of the Cell and through the nearby announcer€™s table. If you take into account the angle of the fall, that€™s a tumble of 22 feet. It doesn€™t take a doctor to tell you that that doesn€™t end well. The second bump was arguably more shocking as no one had planned for it to happen. After returning to the top of the Cell, Foley was chokeslammed onto the mesh, but the weight of the impact caused the structure to break, sending Foley crashing to the ring below.
Unlike his similar fall at No Way Out 2000, the ring did not give way€”and thus this landing must have been a whole lot harder. At the end of it all, Foley had a dislocated shoulder, a dislocated jaw, a tooth sticking through his nose, a concussion and numerous thumbtacks lodged in his back. For me, such an injury list makes this incident worthy of top spot on this list. But please don€™t hesitate to let me know if you disagree, and feel free to comment below with your thoughts on the list and the points that were raised.
