PWInsider is reporting that former WWE Women's Champion Mickie James is scheduled to return to the road for the company this week, and will be at Tuesday evening's Smackdown Live in Memphis, Tennessee.

James initially debuted in WWE in 2005 and went on to engage in an acclaimed feud with Trish Stratus. That program saw James capture her first of five Women's Championships, defeating Stratus at WrestleMania 22. Shortly after that, James turned face, and would remain one of the top babyfaces in the women's division until being let go from the company in 2010. After that, she jumped to TNA, where she held the Knockouts' Championship three times.

Last fall, James made her first WWE TV appearance in years when she was announced as NXT Women's Champion Asuka's opponent at TakeOver: Toronto. When the match came, James put up a fight, but ultimately fell to "The Empress of Tomorrow," just as all her other opponents have. After that match, though, it was confirmed that James had signed a new three-year deal with the company and would be part of the Smackdown brand.

Tuesday's Smackdown features a steel cage Women's Championship match pitting Alexa Bliss against Becky Lynch. Given that a masked woman known as La Luchadora has been helping Bliss in her matches lately, the show may very well feature La Luchadora's unmasking and reveal as James.
