Spring cleaning season in World Wrestling Entertainment is well underway.

Last Friday saw 10 individuals released, including eight active members of the in-ring roster. These names ranged from the surprising (Damien Sandow) to the 'they were still employed?' (Santino Marella), and many WWE talents could have been forgiven for breathing a sigh of relief that they survived the cuts.

Well, get that breath back into those lungs guys, because word on the street is that WWE isn't quite done with cutting the chaff just yet. PWInsider is reporting that another round of releases can be expected for after the Extreme Rules PPV on May 22nd, although WWE's preference for releasing individuals on a Friday means that these can be expected on May 27th.

Word is that the releases are in order to make room for new talent to come in and freshen things up in WWE, something alluded to by Vince McMahon in this week's conference call.

WWE's recent cutting comes at the same time the company signed Triple H to a brand new three year contract as an active performer on the roster.
