New Details On Brock Lesnar's WWE Return

An update on Lesnar, SummerSlam 2021, and what WWE want from his comeback...

WWE want Brock Lesnar to commit to live shows if he's going to return to the company, reports the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast's Andrew Zarian.

Zarian stated that while the company wanted Lesnar for SummerSlam 2021, things didn't work out. Despite this, the two parties are working on putting something together. There's no word on when, exactly, it will go down, but Zarian believes they'll eventually reach an agreement unless something "tremendously terrible" happens.

While Brock remains in WWE's plans at the moment, and the promotion intends on doing something with him, he doesn't factor into SummerSlam at the moment.

Lesnar is currently a free agent following the expiration of his WWE contract last summer. His last appearance came at WrestleMania 36, where he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. Though technically free to negotiate with other companies as he pleases, the general belief is that he'll end up back in Vince McMahon's company.

A SummerSlam bout between Lesnar and current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley had previously been rumoured, though Brock was reportedly ruled out of SummerSlam as far back as early June.
