News On Randy Orton's Movie And Possible WWE Absence

Could he take some time off to film The Condemned 2?

Randy Orton is scheduled to start filming the WWE Films movie The Condemned 2 on November 11. It's a date that was confirmed by Orton on Twitter last week. Next week's Raw takes place in England and Orton has already been taken off the European tour, so he won't be there. Because of that, there's a chance that he could be taken off television tonight on Raw according to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez from their last radio show on F4Wonline.com. Due to his movie commitments, which usually take about 4-5 weeks as we've seen with others in the last year like The Miz, Summer Rae, Kane and Dean Ambrose, there's speculation that Orton may be taken out on Raw this week and that he may also miss Survivor Series on November 23. However, Meltzer also noted that since it's a WWE film they could always fly Orton into a show if they need him since it's their film, so they call the shots on what days he can and can't work. We have seen in the past where stars like John Cena did WWE Films and he would still make it on television. Orton missing Survivor Series would be a major blow because the event takes place in his hometown of St. Louis. We also know he's going to turn babyface any week now, which has been teased for months. That's why it seems possible that he'll work the event. It could be a case where The Authority has five members on their team while Cena's team only has four (let's just say one of Cena's buddies gets taken out) and that could lead to a situation where Cena says he's got a mystery opponent that is somebody you don't expect. As the match begins, Orton's music strikes up and his hometown crowd is there to greet him with one of the loudest ovations of his career. It would be a great way to use him to create a memorable career moment for him. It will be interesting to see if WWE does anything significant with Orton on Raw tonight. They could continue to tease problems with him and Seth Rollins right up until Survivor Series or they can write him out tonight, then have him return at the November 23 PPV or a date in December. We will find out tonight on Raw.
