NXT Stars Set For WWE SmackDown Next Week

Chaos about to descend on Tuesdays.

In addition to the slew of superstars swapping shifts as part of WWE's Superstar Shake-up, Tuesday night's SmackDown Live! saw the announcement of two major NXT acts set to move to Shane McMahon's show next week.

A brief video package promised impending 'chaos' for the blue brand; eagle-eyed viewers will have spotted the word 'Sanity' flash on screen before it ended. Tom Phillips later confirmed that the faction, comprised of Killian Dain, Eric Young, and Alexander Wolfe, will be making their SmackDown bow a week hence. Oddly, there was no mention of Nikki Cross, who was notably absent from the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal as well.

As if this incoming trio wasn't exciting enough, it was later revealed that recently deposed NXT champ Andrade "Cien" Almas is also to make the step up, alongside nefarious belle Zelina Vega. Almas has been one of the stars of the development league over the past five months, sharing a Dave Meltzer-rated five star classic opposite Johnny Gargano at TakeOver: Philadelphia in January of this year. He's mint.

What with some top talent making the move from Raw and these latest additions, SmackDown's roster is looking pretty darn tasty. Maybe the show should be extended to three hours!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
