Pac vs. Hangman Page won't be happening at AEW's Double Or Nothing in Vegas next weekend.

"Creative differences" led to Pac pulling out of the PPV taking place on May 25th at the MGM Grand, according to F4Wonline.

It appears AEW wanted Hangman Page to win the much hyped contest at Double Or Nothing but because Pac has booked himself strong and to not take any losses since becoming Dragon Gate World Champion, AEW weren't willing to change the creative direction they wanted to take.

Pac has won all his matches on the UK circuit since becoming Open the Dream Gate champion, aside from a few 30 minute draws and seemingly AEW didn't want one of their marquee matches at Double Or Nothing to end in a tie.

Instead, an angle between Pac and Page went down at a WrestleGate event in Nottingham, England today which eventually did lead to them wrestling for 15 minutes, ending in a DQ finish.

AEW sent Page specifically to England so fans could still see the anticipated clash, just not in their promotion. However, AEW will reportedly make Pac vs Page available to watch online for free sometime this week.

Hangman Page will be taking on a new opponent at Double Or Nothing but his identity has yet to be revealed. Meltzer at F4WOnline teases that the opponent may be kept a mystery until the night of the PPV, though he does also say to expect a Double Or Nothing announcement to take place midweek.

Meanwhile, Pac's future at AEW is now in doubt. Seemingly the politics around him wanting to be booked strong as Dragon Gate World Champion would limit the creative AEW could utilise the Newcastle man for and that would be off-putting for the fledgling promotion. A DQ finish between Pac and Page though does obviously leave the door open for a potential rematch sometime down the road.
