Paige has been one of wrestling's biggest newsmakers in 2016 for a mixed bag of reasons. Her two recent Wellness Policy violations and relationship with Alberto Del Rio have kept her in the headlines for much of the year, and she's back in the news today.

She has been struggling with a neck injury for much of the year, and announced on September 29th that she'd required surgery to correct the problem.

Paige went under the knife on Wednesday, and has today confirmed that it was successful:-

Paige revealed that the procedure was carried-out in Tampa, Florida by Dr. Juan Uribe, who performed surgery on Tyson Kidd's neck last year.

The Raw draftee has been on WWE's injury reserve since June, and has made only a handful of televised appearances in 2016. Though Paige's current Wellness suspension expires on December 9th, she told TMZ last week that she'll need at least 6-7 months to recover.

The injury has caused some controversy lately, with the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reporting that WWE didn't believe she needed the procedure. Still, here's hoping this s the start of more positive news for the two-time Diva's Champion.
