Why Paul Heyman Wasn't With Cesaro On WWE Raw

How Cesaro being alone on Raw also involves Brock Lesnar too.

When Cesaro took on Big E during Monday's Raw there was no sign of Paul Heyman. Announcer Jerry Lawler said that maybe Heyman was fired while Michael Cole claimed that he saw Heyman earlier in the day, so he was sure he wasn't fired. Later on Raw, Heyman showed up to talk to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. With regards to their "plan B" at Battleground, Heyman said that just in case Hunter needed a full proof plan C then he's the guy that Hunter should talk to. According to a report from PWInsider, Heyman was moved away from Cesaro this week on RAW because Brock Lesnar is returning as soon as next Monday's Raw after Battleground. There is some question as to whether this is the end of Heyman's relationship with Cesaro. It might just be a temporary thing. It seems like the wrong move by WWE because they probably could have done an angle about why Heyman wasn't with Cesaro instead of having Cesaro come to the ring without him. Cesaro's been booked poorly of late. He lost to Kofi Kingston on Raw last week and then to Big E this week. Usually when a midcarder gets booked like that it means he's either turning (face in this case) or he's on the verge of winning some gold, which is possible since he's in the Intercontinental Title battle royal. There have been rumors of a Cesaro face turn from four months ago when he was cheered at WrestleMania, so this booking could be part of that. Regarding the "plan C" idea, the return of Lesnar for SummerSlam has been in place for several months now. He's rumored to be facing John Cena for the WWE Title in the main event of SummerSlam. Assuming Cena holds on to the WWE Title at Battleground and Rollins fails to cash in, Lesnar can return next Monday as the "plan C" that goes after Cena's WWE Title. A Cesaro/Lesnar feud is certainly possible too. If Cesaro loses in the battle royal, Heyman could say he no longer wants to represent him and have Lesnar attack him. That would turn Cesaro face and give him a feud. What's tricky about it is that Lesnar doesn't work a full time schedule, so it's hard to know when he would be available to do such a feud. For one week at least, Cesaro wasn't a "Paul Heyman Guy" although like most things in WWE that can change at any time.
