Predicting Next 6 NXT Champions

4. Adam Cole

Ever since WWE changed its tune when it comes to signing highly-rated independent talent, it has been a case of 'when' as opposed to 'if' when talking about Adam Cole and WWE. The former three-time ROH World Champion may well be in NXT before we get out of April 2017. Not many pro wrestlers seem as ready-made for WWE as the Panama City Playboy.

It is easy to imagine Cole following a similar path in NXT to the one trodden by Bobby Roode. The current NXT Champion came in to a big reception but immediately established himself as a heel - a couple of months later he was champion. Cole may experience a similar road to glory.

Adam Cole has that intangible X-factor that professional wrestling critics are obsessed with. Everything about the man screams 'superstar', and it is difficult to imagine a WWE future without him in it. WWE currently has a shortage of top quality heels - Cole could be a vital part of the next few years in the promotion.

He'll get a run with the NXT Championship before that however.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
