R-Truth Defends WWE 24/7 Title At SummerSlam Meet And Greet

And Drake Maverick gets put in a bin.

The life of a WWE 24/7 Champion is a bloody stressful one, as incumbent title holder R-Truth once more discovered at yesterday's SummerSlam Meet & Greet event.

Whilst eager fans lined up to meet Truth and dance buddy Carmella at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Friday, the current champ took extra time out to sign a special autograph from one John Cena loving kid in a curiously oversized shirt. Lifting the bedazzled lad up for a once-in-a-lifetime photo, Truth suddenly found himself blindsided; it was, of course, Drake Maverick in disguise.

The 205 Live GM failed to grab the belt, and immediately afterwards, Titus O'Neil migrated from the booth next door to have a tilt himself. This also ended in a kick-out, after which Truth quite wisely legged it out of the hall, title just about in tact.

A furious Maverick read the riot act to Titus after his botched attempt, blaming the big fella for getting in his way. For his troubles, the little Brit was dumped in a nearby bin. Well, it beats p*ssing himsef.

Reports suggest WWE have further 24/7 shenanigans scheduled for SummerSlam this Sunday. Good!

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
