A spot of bad PR for The Viper.

Randy Orton wrestled Dean Ambrose on SmackDown last night, but if North Arkansas' NEA Report are to be believed, The Viper was in fighting mood long before the show had even started.

The report alleges that Orton was involved in an altercation with a man at a local gym on Monday. The man Anthony Martin reportedly approached Orton for a photograph while he was working out at The Trim Gym in Jonesboro.

Orton gave him a fist bump and pointed to his earphones, stating that he couldn't hear him. Martin then snapped a picture of The Viper as he walked away, and Martin and his friend claim that Orton dropped his dumbbells, walked up to them, then grabbed Martin's hand before flying into a profanity-laced tirade.

The website's account leans heavily on the fan's side, with Martin alleging that Orton eventually backed down when he realised he was outnumbered. As stated in the article, Martin used his law enforcement training to minimise the risk of physical confrontation, and the situation eventually dissolved.

There's reason to be sceptical, however, as another gym user has since disputed the account. Regardless of whether the story is true or not, this isn't great PR for Orton ahead of the Royal Rumble.
