Randy Orton Reportedly Injured Ahead Of Hell In A Cell

Will Randy be fit for Hell In A Cell?

Randy Orton was injured during this week's Raw main event, according to a report at Lords Of Pain. Admittedly, this should be taken as a rumour at this stage, as the site only sources a correspondent they had in attendance. This person apparently heard Orton tell the WWE trainer "The ruptured disc in my back is f*****." Despite the uncertainty of the source, there is a chance that this report is valid. Orton was visibly struggling in movement after Dean Ambrose had landed on him following a leap from the announcer table. There was also another spot in which he shouted "f**k" after catching himself on a broken table. WWE reacted to censor that out of their broadcast. It's notable that Orton didn't work Tuesday night's Smackdown taping, but the injury as of right now is unconfirmed. As such, we're treating this as a rumour until we hear further sources. If Randy really is injured, then it will be a major blow to his current career resurgence. He seems to have a new lease of life in his work and is demonstrating an intensity that the fans are really appreciating. There's subtle foreshadowing of an upcoming face turn and he seems destined for a major feud with Seth Rollins. More immediately, an Orton injury could have consequences for this weekend at Hell In A Cell. He's set to face off against John Cena inside the demonic structure, and it would really undermine the occasion if WWE needed to change the line-up at this short notice.
