Randy Orton's Return Rumoured For Next Month

The Viper is said to be coming back to WWE programming this April.

Randy Orton is to return to WWE programming in April, according to a tweet by the Washington DC branch of Fox Sports Radio (seen below). The Viper has been out of action since sustaining a legitimate shoulder injury in late September 2015. Since then, there have been rumours of a decision to undergo neck surgery and even retirement, which were actually shot down by Orton himself on Instagram, where he wrote: 'I see many of you think I need neck surgery. I heard weeks ago that Meltzer stated it as a fact. I don't keep up with gossip, so I didn't think anything of it.' He now looks likely to return to the ring. Before this report, updates on his condition seemed to indicate that Orton would be back in action between March and May, which kept the possibility of a surprise WrestleMania 32 appearance open. This looks to be off the table now, with most of the card finalised for next Sunday's event, but don't be surprised to see The Viper back on Raw and SmackDown in the post-Mania fallout. There is still no work on the status of other injured superstars such as John Cena, Seth Rollins and Cesaro. https://twitter.com/1340AMFOXSports/status/712778837453459456
