"GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! IT KILLED HIM! AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, HE IS BROKEN IN HALF!"

It's one of the most famous calls in the history of professional wrestling. Jim Ross had just witnessed Mankind get tossed from the top of a 16-foot cell and blast through the Spanish announce table just a few feet beside him.

He knew, like everyone else watching, that what he'd just seen was a historic moment, one that would be talked about for years to come. Because it was entirely possible that Foley had actually just died.

And yet, somehow, his heart was still beating and his lungs were still pumping. Within minutes, he was back on top of the cell, ready to top the stunt he'd miraculously survived by taking a chokeslam through the top of the cell all the way down to the hard canvas below.

If you didn't think Mick Foley was the toughest son of a bitch in that locker room after seeing his body go through all of that, then you didn't deserve to watch him perform. For mainstream audiences, this is the match that proved he truly was the hardcore legend. It's no coincidence that a few months later, Mrs. Foley's baby boy would hoist the WWE Championship over his head.
