Ranking Triple H's 19 WrestleMania Matches - From Worst To Best

13. Triple H Vs. Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania XXIX)

Triple H and Brock Lesnar had demonstrated nothing in the way of in-ring chemistry during their previous outings. Their SummerSlam 2012 match had been a major disappointment, so expectations were not particularly high for their rematch on the Show of Shows. Even with a No Holds Barred stipulation tacked on, there was still a general lack of excitement surrounding the match. The Game and The Beast Incarnate may have exceeded expectations, but only ever so slightly. The introduction of weapons and the opportunity to mask their lack of chemistry through brawling helped the overall quality of the match, but it still failed to reach the heights of Triple H's more recent WrestleMania classics. That he won, delivering Lesnar his second loss in three matches back with WWE, rubbed fans the wrong way and further sour them on the bout. Like the entire WrestleMania XXIX card, the No Holds Barred bout was greeted with a muted response, as fans were generally unimpressed by the product that unfolded before them. And rightfully so. A rare misfire for The Game on the grandest stage in wrestling.
