At an emotional ceremony during WrestleMania Axxess on Saturday evening, fans and WWE Hall of Famers alike were in attendance to witness the unveiling of a new bronze statue dedicated to the legacy and career of 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair.

The statue was created by NYC-based sculptor Karen Atta, and depicts Flair in his stylin', profilin' prime. Triple H and Charlotte Flair revealed the sculpture to an emotional Nature Boy, who was visibly tearful as fans chanted 'you deserve it.' In this particular situation, the chant was absolutely warranted.

The statue will be on display throughout WrestleMania, alongside other famous Ric Flair memorabilia. Former WWE Women's Champion and daughter of the two-time Hall of Famer Charlotte Flair commented on the unveiling ceremony:

Just watching the emotion overtake him was really special. I have goosebumps, and I wanted to tear up, but was trying to hold back like "Dad don't cry!" But it was special, especially having my family in the ring. What Hunter said about respect is huge in what we do, and to know my dad worked forty years to earn that much respect from his peers and the audience of fans who still come out to see him to day; it's overwhelming, but it's awesome.
