Ric Flair will undergo surgery for undisclosed "complications" this Monday after plans for a Saturday session were put on hold for the very same reason.

Flair's wife Wendy Barlow clarified the situation on Instagram following a week of fresh reports on the health of the 'Nature Boy'. She said, "Ric's surgery has been postponed until Monday to address some complications that needed to be taken care of first. Thanks for all the well wishes."

TMZ first broke the story on Thursday claiming that Flair had been rushed to hospital with something serious relating to his history of heart problems, but this was hurriedly refuted by his son-in-law and Starrcast 2 promoter Conrad Thompson.

He noted that the procedure had been planned ahead of schedule to ensure 'Slick Ric' was fit and healthy for a planned big-ticket event ahead of AEW's Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas. Sean Ross Sapp later confirmed Conrad's suggestion that "The Roast Of Ric Flair is still happening".

In response to the original story breaking, Barlow also added that Flair is expected to make a "full recovery". All at WhatCulture.com extend our support Flair's close friends and family with the hope that he'll be "Stylin' and Profilin'" again this time next week.
