Rich Swann's days with WWE have today ended, after the company announced his departure on their official website.

A very brief statement simply read:

Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018. WWE wishes Swann the best in all of future endeavors.

The cruiserweight has been out of the fold since the promotion served him a suspension following charges of domestic battery back in December. Swann was arrested in Gainesville, FL after an incident involving wife Vanarrah Riggs - better known under her ring name Su Yung. The police report noted that the pair had engaged in a heated argument following an independent show, which supposedly escalated to a point where Swann grabbed Riggs and forced her back into his vehicle.

At a TV Critics Association Winter Tour event earlier this year, WWE executives Paul 'Triple H' Levesque and Stephanie McMahon commented on Swann's situation, noting that a guilty verdict would result in his immediate termination.

Last month, the charges were dropped on the grounds of insufficient evidence to sustain conviction. Nevertheless, Swann has not reappeared on TV despite his exoneration. However, as the statement makes clear, the terms of his departure are mutual.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
