Romans Reigns Advertised To Return Sooner Than Expected

The Juggernaut is coming back.

Roman Reigns is scheduled to return from his hernia injury sooner than expected. WWE are now advertising 'The Big Dog' to be back in December, with appearances on the annual holiday tour. The dates will include 12/20 from Sioux Falls, South Dakota which will be the weekend after TLC and 12/27 from Cincinnati, Ohio. Given that Reigns will be working those shows, there is speculation that he'll be back on television the night after the TLC pay per view. A return on Raw would be the beginning of his journey towards Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 31, where he is expected to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Initially, it had been feared that he wouldn't be able to return from injury until January. The injury that had put him out of action was an incarcerated hernia. There was even the suggestion that he might miss the Rumble, but still make it back in time for his Mania push. Thankfully, it now looks like 'The Juggernaut' will be back with plenty of time to build his main event push. He is scheduled to challenge Rusev for the United States Championship in WWE's live holiday tour. That could be just for the house shows, or maybe it's an indication of the creative direction that WWE will be taking on television. If he was to become the first babyface to defeat the evil Russian heel, Reigns would be well on his way to gaining momentum for his Brock Lesnar match. WWE really are betting everything on this guy. He's going to be the main man in 2015 and is viewed as the long term replacement for John Cena.
