Production for Total Divas' ninth season is already well underway, and it looks like major cast changes are coming to WWE's E! Network reality show.

Per Pro Wrestling Sheet, Nikki and Brie Bella made the decision to step away from their onscreen roles at the end of the previous season, though Nikki will remain on-board as an Executive Producer while her and her sister concentrate primarily on Total Bellas.

Rusev and Lana have also left the cast. Their partings were less amicable, however, as 'The Ravishing Russian' claimed on a recent appearance on Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory podcast that a network survey revealed the couple were "strongly disliked" by the audience, leading to Kevin Dunn pulling them.

Taking the free spots are current Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Superstar Sonya Deville, who broke the news to Afterbuzz TV yesterday.

Parts of Total Divas season nine have already been filmed at Browsey Acres - a farm owned by Rousey and husband Travis Browne. Her participation on the show is yet to be officially confirmed, but Squared Circle Sirens (who have a proven track record with such scoops) put it out there yesterday afternoon.
