Ronda Rousey Vs Stephanie McMahon Is WWE Aim For WrestleMania 32

WWE first talked to Rousey at last year's SummerSlam.

Ronda Rousey versus Stephanie McMahon is WWE's aim for WrestleMania 32, reports Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. Talks between the two sides first started at last year's SummerSlam. Meltzer revealed that he talked to someone who was involved in the situation. He stated that this was the person who got the ball rolling. The inside scoop is that WWE and Rousey want to do a singles match, with Stephanie McMahon as the heel opponent. However, UFC could block any proposed match. Initially, it looked like the Rock and Rousey angle at WrestleMania 31 was establishing a mixed tag bout for WrestleMania 32. Rock and Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon could still happen, but it probably is best to split them into singles bouts. Triple H vs The Rock would work much better in a traditional sense as a WrestleMania headliner. The character dynamics for a Ronda vs Stephanie match are very good. Steph is a fantastic heel and Rousey is a legitimate bada** cool chick. The problem is how WWE could go about booking any potential match. Rousey finishes her opponents in under a minute in the UFC. It would be quite frankly ridiculous to see her come to the WWE and go beyond the thirty second mark with McMahon. There's also the fact that UFC would never allow Rousey to undermine the legitimate credibility of MMA by allowing Stephanie to look good. There's creative and technical details to iron out, but Ronda Rousey vs Stephanie McMahon remains WWE's aim for a WrestleMania 32 headlining match.
