Samoa Joe Leaves TNA Wrestling

The TNA veteran has left the company. What's next?

Samoe Joe, a long time top wrestler for TNA Impact Wrestling, announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he has decided to leave the company. Joe's tweet (@SamoaJoe) read as follows: "I have decided to part ways with @ImpactWrestling. My very best to them moving forward, and my eternal thanks to the fans." Joe will turn 36 years old on March 17. TNA Wrestling issued a statement on their website thanking Joe for his nine years of service: "Upon expiration of Samoa Joe's contract, TNA and Joe have mutually agreed to part ways. We would like to thank Samoa Joe for 9 great years. Joe will always be a valued member of our family. We wish him all the best." It was signed by TNA's Executive Vice President of Television and Talent, John Gaburick. That statement means he wasn't fired and he didn't quit. The deal was up, he chose to not renew and now he's a free agent. Joe signed with TNA in the summer of 2005, so he nearly made it ten years with them. He was immediately booked as a major star that had a long undefeated streak and quickly rose the ranks as a legitimate threat that was billed as the Samoan Submission Machine. Joe is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, a five-time X-Division Champion, two-time Tag Team Champion and a Television Champion as well. His biggest rival in TNA was Kurt Angle, who had a lot of praise for Joe on Twitter: "To @SamoeJoe - 1 of the very best I've ever had the privilege to wrestle. Many Blessings to you and your future. I will remember the feuds." For a lot of fans, TNA was at their best when Joe and Angle were headlining shows while the midcard was full of talent who were hungry to prove themselves. Prior to his run in TNA, Joe was one of the biggest names in Ring of Honor where he had several great rivalries including feuds with big names like CM Punk and Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan). He also has experience working in Japan and different places around the world. If you've seen him wrestle then you know he's capable of working a number of styles. What's next for Samoa Joe? There are definitely some good options out there for him which we can explain on the following six pages;
