News that Sasha Banks had told WWE she wouldn't be reporting for work took her ongoing saga to a new level this week, with 'The Boss' reportedly requesting her release from the company after WrestleMania 35, only for her employers to grant her time off to think it over.

Now, there's talk that the former Raw Women's Champion might miss the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view on 19 May.

This is according to Dave Meltzer who, on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, claimed that Banks is currently booked to appear on the show, but there's no guarantee that she'll actually be there for it. That would mean the Sasha situation stretching beyond a sixth week.

On top of this, Meltzer spoke on the Montreal crowd surprisingly booing Bayley (Banks' former tag team partner) on this week's SmackDown. He claimed that this was down to the Sasha drama, which came about not only because of the last-minute decision to have them lose the Women's Tag Titles, but also because WWE had told them they planned on splitting their team.

It's hard to see WWE consenting to Banks' release anytime soon, but the story rumbles on.
