Seth Rollins Broke A HUGE WWE Record On This Week's Raw

The new Raw Tag Team Champion's major accolade flies under the radar.

Seth Rollins became a Raw Tag Team Champion on this week's show, but 'The Kingslayer' had little time to celebrate, as partner Dean Ambrose shockingly turned on him following their cathartic triumph over Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler.

It was one of the most effective heel turns WWE have delivered in years. With the crowd still stinging from the emotional gut punch of Roman Reigns' big announcement, it drew a huge reaction, though its buzz has eclipsed what was a history-making victory for Seth.

As pointed out by Reddit user MutilatedCattle, Rollins is now the first wrestler in WWE history to become a double champion with every Grand Slam title. This week's win means he currently holds the Intercontinental and Raw Tag Team belts, and he was a United States and WWE Champion back in 2015, completing the collection.

Though 'The Kingslayer's' fantastic 2018 was somewhat derailed by The Shield's reunion, it's clear the company still think very highly of him, and it's surprising that they haven't made a bigger deal of this. Nonetheless, Rollins is now set for a huge, money-making programme with Ambrose, leading to a string of potentially outstanding pay-per-view bouts.
