Shawn Michaels is widely expected to end his eight-year wrestling retirement with a sensational in-ring return in 2018, with the 53-year-old linked to a D-Generation X vs. Brothers of Destruction tag at Crown Jewel and a potential Undertaker Survivor Series singles bout in recent weeks.

This has naturally inspired hope for potential dream matches against some of WWE's biggest and brightest, but such clashes don't appear to be on Michaels' bucket list.

According to PW Insider Elite, HBK is not interested in matches with the likes of AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan. His upcoming run is simply a case of him "trying to fulfil his obligations to WWE," and that he views his current storyline as "the only time that we can probably do this, and get it done right."

Michaels and Triple H were taken out by Kane and The Undertaker to close this week's Raw. Him and 'The Big Red Machine' will accompany their respective allies at Super Show-Down, with many sources speculating this will lead to the Crown Jewel tag. A HBK run extending beyond Survivor Series would be a huge surprise, given his age and ring rust, so he may be done by the end of November.
