Rhea Ripley will make a tilt at Shayna Baszler's NXT Women's Championship next week, it was confirmed following last night's episode of the show.

The Australian had originally been set to face Dakota Kai this Wednesday, but she mugged off her WarGames rival at the top of the entrance ramp, sending Mia Yim in her direction instead.

In the ensuing brawl, original Horsewomen trio Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke took the opportunity to send a message to Ripley. The Queen of Spades locked her in a Kirifuda Clutch, whilst her stablemates made escape impossible.

When she finally relinquished her grip, Baszler barked that Ripley doesn't know what she's getting into demanding a title match - and set a date for two weeks time.

She probably does know; Ripley pinned Baszler during the Women's WarGames at last month's TakeOver.

Elsewhere on the show, it was announced that Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa and Finn Bálor will collide in a triple threat next week to determine the number one contender to Adam Cole's NXT Championship.

Both the resulting title bout and Baszler's clash with Ripley take place on the last episode of NXT before the holiday break, on 18 December.
