Ouch.

In order to build anticipation for this Sunday's Raw tag team championship triple threat match, the go-home show ran two segments featuring the three duos involved. In both scenarios, the titleholders, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attacked their challengers with ladders.

This is obviously leading to a ladder match between the champs, Enzo and Cass and Cesaro and Sheamus at WrestleMania 33, but the real story between the six men is the ghastly injury Sheamus suffered in the second segment.

While Enzo and Cass were in the ring running through their shtick, the champions appeared at the top of the ramp, only to be blindsided by Cesaro and Sheamus in retaliation for the attack perpetrated against them moments earlier. Eventually all three pairs wound up in the ring slugging it out with a ladder in play.

Cass was curled up in the corner behind said ladder when Cesaro shot his partner in with an Irish whip. The unteachable 7-footer pushed the ladder away just as Sheamus hit the corner, colliding with the ladder face-first. He rolled out of the ring immediately and wasn't shown on camera for the remainder of the segment.

It wasn't until a picture popped up on Sheamus' Twitter that it became clear the damage done was pretty serious...

Thankfully, it's not the type of wound that will cause him to miss WrestleMania 33.
