Hot off the heels of AJ Styles agreeing a fresh contract extension with WWE, it seems another star of SmackDown has put pen to paper on a brand new deal.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Sin Cara agreed a revised three-year agreement in the past few days, having been working under an extension to his prior contract for the past few months.

The luchador, 41, has been on the sidelines since undergoing a knee operation to repair damaged scar tissue on the joint back in August last year. The last time the WWE Universe saw - or rather, didn't see - Sin Cara's face was in a kickoff show defeat to Andrade at last July's Extreme Rules.

Though it's not known when he is expected to return to the ring, the former Hunico, now entering his tenth year with the company, has been spotted preparing his comeback at the Performance Center.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
