Spectre: New Image Of Batista As James Bond Villain

Batista in Bond.

WWE wrestler Batista will star as Mr Hinx in the forthcoming James Bond film, Spectre. The first image of Batista as Hinx has been published by empireonline.com, and it demonstrates a suave looking henchman character. It's exciting to see Batista in this new role. It looks like he's being billed under the name Dave Bautista, so it really does look as if he's leaving his pro wrestling days behind him. That's a shame for the WWE, who would've liked to have promoted Batista wrestling matches alongside the 46 year old's mainstream film releases. That's what they tried to do last year with Batista's push around WrestleMania 30, which would have seen him as WWE Champion when Guardians Of The Galaxy was released later that year. However, wrestling fans rejected Batista as the classic wrestling good guy. As a result, he never ended up returning for a rumoured match at August's SummerSlam. Instead, he basked in the Hollywood limelight around the glowing reviews for his performance as Drax in Guardians Of The Galaxy. That character role has helped establish Batista as a viable Hollywood name. He used the new found fame to secure this upcoming role in the James Bond film. This massive opportunity should now see him further ingrained in the acting circuit. Spectre will be released on November 6th.
