Dave Meltzer confirmed Shawn Michaels' imminent in-ring return in yesterday's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing that the rumoured tag match pitting HBK and Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane will take place on WWE's next Saudi Arabian show (Crown Jewel - 2 November).

Now, it looks like Shawn is on his way back to Raw, with PW Insider's Mike Johnson claiming Michaels will be in the house on the 1 October episode, where he'll play hype man for Triple H's Super Show-Down battle with 'The Deadman.'

This is the go-home show for the Australian mega-event. Michaels will accompany Hunter to the ring in Melbourne, with Kane in 'Taker's corner, and WWE may use Shawn's upcoming Raw appearance to build on the tension established during his last face-to-face with 'The Phenom.'

Crown Jewel will be Michaels' first match in over eight years. The 53-year-old hasn't competed since WrestleMania XXVI, when Undertaker defeated him in an instant classic. He has since resisted all calls to come out of retirement, but Meltzer writes that the Saudi money off was "too much to turn down," with these shows now considered more lucrative than WrestleMania.
