Steve Austin Says Vince McMahon Was Furious After WWE Network Podcast

Austin tells funny story of where he was when Vince yelled at him.

Steve Austin had former MMA figther Chael Sonnen on his "Stone Cold Unleashed" podcast this week and during their discussion, Sonnen said he wanted to see Austin vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Austin quickly shot it down saying it's not going to happen. Austin went on to tell a story about how Vince McMahon was furious with him from when Austin did a promo about Lesnar during his WWE Network podcast with Paul Heyman on June 1. Austin said that he got a call from Vince a few days later while Austin was trying on shorts at a Macy's store.
"I have Vince listed in my iPhone 6 'VKM', all capital letters. All of a sudden, 'hmmm... it's Mr. Vince McMahon calling me', so I'm thinking, 'okay, I got to answer the phone - he's either calling to tell me it was a great interview with Paul Heyman, we blew the internet up, or he's going to call and eat my ass out about making a match at WrestleMania 32 with Brock Lesnar', which was not my intention. It was the latter."
He went on to call it a "real interesting moment" to have Vince yelling at him while he was trying on shorts in a dressing room.
Vince was upset about Austin doing a promo against Lesnar and Austin assured Vince that he would clear the air. That's why on Austin's next podcast, he said the match is definitely not happening. Paul Heyman also said it in interviews while people close to Austin like Jim Ross also backed up Austin's denial. It's easy to understand why Vince would be mad because as soon as the podcast was over, most people just wanted to talk about Austin's promo because they thought he might wrestle at WrestleMania 32, which would obviously be a big deal. Even though McMahon was mad about what Austin said, they still have the clip of it on WWE's Youtube channel. You can see it below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMNJgFhXumI
