Retired WWE Hall Of Famer Sting has claimed during a Facebook live video that he could still wrestle if he wanted to.

Answering some questions fans have had since his last match at Night Of Champions 2015 against Seth Rollins, the NWA/WCW veteran said injuries weren't behind his permanent departure from the ring. Instead, Sting just doesn't want to wrestle any more.

Sting suffered cervical spinal stenosis after taking a Powerbomb into the turnbuckle from Rollins during the match, but later went on to tell JBL via the WWE Network that he turned down surgery for the condition. Had Sting gone under the knife, then his career would've certainly been over.

During the same Facebook live video, the icon said he would consider appearing on WWE programming as a non-wrestling character, adding that he was delighted to see Kurt Angle back in the limelight. This means Sting is open to becoming a General Manager on Raw or SmackDown, which would delight his longtime fans.

It's interesting to learn that Sting could still work in-ring if he wanted to. Those words will only get some sections of the wrestling community frothing at the mouth about that elusive Undertaker dream match.
