Sting's WWE Debut Tonight On RAW - Confirmed

Word is he still hasn't signed with WWE but will have a presence on tonight's show.

WWE.comWWE.comSting has not yet signed with WWE but will appear on RAW tonight. Details on how he will debut are unclear though Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that something will go down tonight. "All I can say right now, Sting has not signed. If you watch Raw to see Sting tomorrow you will not be disappointed, but he will not be there live." On this understanding, we can assume that Sting's Raw appearance will be WWE 2K15 related. It is likely a teaser video to promote the game, similar to the Ultimate Warrior video which was released around this time last year. It is understood that Sting has a contract with 2K which will eventually lead to his contract with WWE. 2K had recently been advertising for actors to appear as Sting and this will probably be tonight's video. The 7.14.14 tease that Sting tweeted last week is the start of his work in promoting the game. The tweet has stirred interest for Raw and got wrestling fans talking. Both the game and RAW will benefit from this promoting strategy. Sting has never appeared in any WWE context before (minus an interview on WWE Network's Ultimate Warrior documentary). It may only be a video commercial tonight, but Sting's character being broadcast on Raw is truly a historic moment. This is the groundwork that will establish him with the fans, leading to a live appearance when his WWE contract finally gets signed later this year. Also scheduled for Raw is the live return of the Nature Boy Ric Flair.
