Taz Pokes Fun At Triple H On AEW Dark

Terror rising in Jacksonville, FL area...

Taz Triple H
AEW WWE

AEW commentator Taz is known for cutting loose on AEW Dark, the promotion's web series, bringing a lighter, funnier, and more laid back style to the booth than one might expect on Dynamite or pay-per-view - and a comment made last night exemplifies this.

Established AEW roster member Frankie Kazarian was facing regular enhancement talent RYZIN. Speaking on the jobber, Taz said "You know what his first name should be? Terra! Nah, that would never get over. That would be the sh*ts."

This is, of course, a playful nudge at WWE's Triple H, who competed as Terror Risin'/Terra Ryzing in WCW for a brief period in 1994. Struggling for traction even after switching to the blue blood gimmick that eventually became his foundation in WWE, the future 'Game' was out of the promotion the following year.

AEW's RYZIN fared similarly poorly to Mr. Levesque last night, falling to Frankie Kazarian in a quick, decisive bout.

Triple H infamously took a shot at AEW during D-Generation X's Hall of Fame induction in 2019, calling out the "pissant company". Taz, meanwhile, made headlines by ripping WWE's "sloppy shop" following the promotion's first major COVID-19 outbreak.
