Tessa Blanchard will make her return to in-ring action later this month.

As revealed by Hurricane Pro Wrestling, the one-time Impact World Champion is advertised to appear on their July 16 show in Beaumont, Texas, with said contest and event being available to watch on TitleMatchNetwork.com

In the hours before making this unexpected announcement, the company also took to Twitter to state "Shocking the wrestling world is always a good thing,".

This will mark Blanchard's first appearance in a wrestling capacity since losing the Warrior Wrestling Women's Championship to Kylie Rae back in September 2020. Blanchard was also once billed as being part of the relaunch for Women of Wrestling before a conflict between herself and the promotion threw a spanner in the works in the lead-up to TV tapings.

As Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter would explain, the "two sides had different ideas and were constantly butting heads."

Blanchard has routinely found herself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent times, being accused of racism and bullying by multiple peers, having her contract with Impact Wrestling terminated and being stripped of the company's world title before these issues with WOW were made known this year.
