This is what happens when Rock meets steel.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had to resort to desperate measures today when his front gate refused to open post-storm.

The actor was needed on set to shoot scenes for his upcoming Netflix feature Red Notice. So, when his front gate decided it didn't feel like opening after a severe storm hit 'The Great One's neighbourhood, The Rock had no choice but to rip the metal from its hinges. Seriously.

Posting on his Instagram account, Johnson stated:

'I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself. Ripped it completely out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass. My security team was able to meet the gate technician and welders about an hour later — and they were apparently, “in disbelief and equally scared” as to how I ripped it off (laughing emoji) Not my finest hour, but I had to go to work.'

After laying waste to his own home security, the former WWE Champion joked that he was now '100%' ready to play Black Adam in the DCEU's upcoming December 2022 feature of the same name.

When The Rock has to go to work, he finds a way to go to work. No matter what obstacles are in his way. But, going forward, perhaps hopping the fence and calling an Uber may be a safer and more logical bet. The actor alluded to this alternative option in another post, but then admitted 'there's no fun in that'.

Each to their own, I guess.
