TNA Impact Wrestling: 7 Reactions To This Week's Show

6. Magnus Vs. Devon

http://youtu.be/HI38z_v6wow The opening contest begins very aggressively, with both sides more likely to exchange fists rather than grapple fairly with their adversary. Magnus and Devon play the crowd very well, with the British Magnus garnering support throughout, and Devon getting torrents of abuse everytime he kills the momentum. Mike Tenay on commentary discusses the great lineage of British wrestling, before Teflon Tazz sticks his sunglasses where they don't belong by questioning how great those people would have been in Aces & Eights. Yeah, bring up the same old stuff as last week Tazz, that's bound to keep the viewers interested. Towards the climax of the short bout, Magnus gets the upperhand over the Television Champion (although you probably wouldn't know he's a champion considering how little he defends his title) and begins to hit a few high impact knees and clotheslines on his dazed opponent. But that brings out other members of Aces & Eights, who cause the disqualification and are hurriedly thrown out of the ring as soon as they entered by the untouchable Magnus. The way Magnus looked against other wrestlers tonight he could have won every championship belt with one arm tied behind his back. It would be impressive if you didn't already know he is going to collapse back into the midcard as soon as next week.
