Is TNA Wrestling For Sale?

TNA TNA Impact Wrestling hasn't had the most successful year so far and if reports circulating on the dirt sheets this morning are to be believed things could be about to get a whole lot worse. To coincide with the decision to remove the brand from its touring schedule and return to the Orlando based sound stage of old and the apparent loss of top names and members of management including Hulk Hogan and maybe Sting, is the announcement that the company may soon be going up for sale. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Carter family have been looking to get out of the wrestling business for some time as it is no secret that the company has been losing money like it's going out of fashion which has been detrimental to the Carter founded Panda Energy Company. Despite cutting costs including roster cuts and changes in pay structure things continue to look bleak for the number two wrestling company and it is a serious worry that without Panda Energy to bail them out the company could end up folding before the end of next year, if not sooner. It is assumed that there would be interest from other parties in purchasing TNA but with its plummeting value in terms of talent and TV numbers one would have to assume it's asking price would not be quite as high as the Carter's would like. One person we can almost certainly rule out as a potential buyer though would be Vince McMahon and the WWE as there is seemingly no value in the TNA video library or most of its roster. So who would you expect to buy out TNA if it does indeed go up for sale? Would the new look NWA be a likely source or would it be someone else looking to turn around the struggling companies fortunes? Why not let us know your thoughts and if anything would really matter if there was no TNA in the comments section below.
