Few professional wrestlers have been able to transcend all aspects of the wrestling business in the way that Triple H has. When he entered the WWE as the blue-blood, aristocratical Hunter Hearst Helmsley back in 1995, you would probably be sent to a mental hospital if you went around predicting that he would one day be responsible for running the company. Fast forward to 2014, and that day is going to come sooner rather than later. Triple H's character has undergone many changes since his debut with WWE in the mid 1990s. The first major switch came in 1997, when alongside Shawn Michaels, Hunter was able to let his real personality come through as part of the first incarnation of D-Generation X. After Michaels' departure in 1998, Triple H really came into his own as the leader of the faction, becoming a main event talent in the process. Starting in the summer of 1999, Triple H began a three year period where most experts agreed that he was one of the best, if not the very best, wrestlers in the game. During the height of the attitude era, he was one of the most recognized and important wrestlers on the planet.
