Two HUGE Matches Planned For Tonight's WWE SmackDown
There's star power aplenty on Friday night's delight...
WWE has announced two big matches and another huge segment for this week's episode of SmackDown.
First up, Bayley and Sasha Banks will get a rematch for the Women's Tag-Team Titles against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. It's expected that the 'Golden Role Models' will continue their slow burn towards an eventual break-up and feud, and that the Baszler/Jax combo will remain champs.
Another match has Universal Title implications.
Big E, Matt Riddle, 'King' Corbin and Sheamus will work a Fatal-4-Way match to determine the next Universal Title challenger at Clash Of Champions on 27 September. Of the four available possibilities, it's E or Riddle vs. Roman Reigns the stick out as the most interesting - they're the two babyfaces anyway.
Finally, WWE are promoting an appearance from Reigns himself. He'll saunter down to the ring alongside 'Advocate' Paul Heyman and "talk about his title victory at WWE Payback and his recent alignment with the controversial Heyman".
WWE's official preview for SmackDown asks, "What does this newly formed alliance between Reigns and Heyman mean for the future of Friday Night SmackDown?".
Hopefully not a reprisal of Roman's feud with Corbin.
