Universal Studios Orlando Could Open Physical WWE Hall Of Fame

WWE Hall Of Fame themed restaurant could replace the NBA City at Universal CityWalk.

A WWE Hall of Fame themed restaurant could potentially be in the works for Orlando's Universal Studios, reports BehindTheThrills.com. The rumours of an actual physical WWE Hall of Fame have existed for years, but now that Universal Studios announced this week that they're going to close NBA City at Universal CityWalk, there's an opening that could lead to WWE taking the spot. The other options for the spot include a Cheesecake Factory restaurant and a Universal movie set themed restaurant. WWE fans have wanted to see an actual physical Hall of Fame for a long time and it's been reported several times in recent years that Triple H really wants to make it happen. The key has always been finding the right spot for it, but Orlando may end up being the perfect place. That's where the WWE Performance Center is located and it's also one of the busiest tourist cities in America because of Disneyworld and Universal Studios. It makes a lot of business sense for WWE to put their Hall of Fame in Orlando if it's going to be anywhere although they may be reluctant to open another restaurant. The "WWF New York" restaurant that was also named "The World" at one point, was a failure about 15 years ago and there's no guarantee that it would work now. However, the addition of Hall of Fame memorabilia as well as displays honoring WWE Hall of Famers could be an attraction worth trying. It would be an enormous project for WWE, but it's something that could be very profitable for them as well as a destination worth visiting and a way to legitimize the WWE Hall of Fame even more.
