Will the former WWE Champion sign a new contract in 2019?

This Sunday's TLC pay-per-view (16 December) sees AJ Styles challenge for the WWE Championship he lost to Daniel Bryan last month. A huge match, but 'The Phenomenal One' has even bigger matters to deal with in his near future: namely, what happens when his WWE contract expires?

As reported in November, AJ has been attempting to negotiate a new deal that'll allow him to move onto a lighter schedule. Rather than spending the vast majority of the year on the road, he wants a schedule similar to Randy Orton's, and PWInsider have now revealed that Styles' current deal expires in April 2019.

Unsurprisingly, it is expected that AJ will renew with the company, though his days as an all-out full-timer may be coming to an end.

Styles' friends and on/off allies Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows face a less certain future. Per PWInsider, the duo have contracts that expire in September 2019, and with no news on how their negotiations are doing, New Japan Pro Wrestling are reportedly interested in bringing them back.

More concrete news on AJ's future should materialise over the coming weeks and months. As for The Good Brothers? Their low usage rate suggests renewing might not be a priority.
