WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is expected to finally return to Raw next week. 'The Beast Incarnate' hasn't appeared since the night after WrestleMania 33, and with his number one contender Samoa Joe choking Paul Heyman out on this week's show, there's plenty of ground to cover before the two bruisers meet for the belt at Great Balls Of Fire (July 9th).

According to this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, fans shouldn't expect the feud to extend beyond the PPV. Brock vs. Joe is reportedly a one-off title defence for Lesnar, who was originally pegged to face Braun Strowman at the event prior to the former Wyatt Family man's recent injury.

Speaking of 'The Monster Among Men,' he is expected to return to television sometime within the next few weeks, and the Observer state that he is now slotted to challenge Lesnar at SummerSlam (August 20th). The write-up also mentions Finn Balor and Seth Rollins as potential post-Strowman title challengers, though there's no word on when those matches may occur.

Despite this, WWE officials still plan on having Roman Reigns challenge Brock for the title at WrestleMania 34, giving the aforementioned contenders little hope of springing an upset.
