WWE.com has announced that this Monday on Raw, Vince McMahon will make his return to the show that he created.

The program will emanate from Detroit's Joe Louis Arena, the same building where Shane McMahon made his WWE return on 22 February.

As with McMahon's last appearance (which came at the Payback PPV in May), the subject of his address will be the future of WWE's on-screen authority. At Payback, he was slated to decide which of his children would run Raw in the long term, but he opted to have both of them control the show as a unit.

This time, he'll have to deal with SmackDown. As the release states, both Shane and Stephanie (who will also be in attendance) have declared an interest in running the show, as have several General Managers from the brand's long history. The piece suggests that McMahon will make a decision as to who will get the honor, which makes sense, given that the draft will come a mere eight days later.

McMahon's appearance will also serve another purpose, as it's guaranteed to boost ratings. Raw's numbers have been on the downswing lately, with the last episode doing a 19-year-low rating (though it did air on a holiday, and drew better numbers than many analysts predicted). With the WWE Chairman on the broadcast, low ratings will not be a talking point this week.
